Managing Quizzes

The guides below deal with some of the tasks involved in Quiz management and administrative functions such as providing students with extensions - the guides are therefore most appropriate for staff in the role of Unit Chair or Lecturer.

Remember, only people with Unit Chair access can delete attempts.

This guide will show you through the following steps:

  1. Check for students with an attempt in progress
  2. View the student's attempt details and time log
  3. Impersonate the student to close their attempt
  4. Check the student's score
  5. Re-set the student's attempt
  6. Provide special access to the quiz

Refer to Check and reset (delete) a student's attempt

In some instances a student may not have submitted their quiz correctly within the allotted time period - meaning their attempt may still be 'in progress'.

It is important to remember that a student's attempt may still be 'in progress' if they are genuinely in middle of doing the quiz. For this reason it is best to double check before re-setting an attempt

This guide will show you through the following steps:

  1. Check for students with an attempt in progress
  2. View the student's attempt
  3. Impersonate the student to close their attempt

Refer to Submit an attempt left 'progress'

Every now and again a student will report that they have experienced technical difficulties whilst undertaking an online test - for example they may have had problems saving their answers. This guide will show you how to:

  1. Check to see if an attempt has been taken
  2. Check an attempt (see how they answered and a chronological list of actions during an attempt)
  3. Check the Grade Item action log for the test - COMING SOON!.
